Celebrating 50 Years

Grants for small scale environmental projects in the Forest of Bowland AONB

The AONB 50th Anniversary Awards were aimed at recognising the outstanding work of a wide range of projects, individuals and organisations that have contributed to conserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the AONB since it's designation in 1964.

Thanks to everyone who put forward nominations, we had a fantastic response.  The winners were announced at the 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner, at the Out Barn, Clough Bottom on the 1st November.

The shortlist and winners are as follows, many congratulations to all those involved!  You can click on each shortlisted name to view a case study about the work of the individual or organisation.
