Grants for small scale environmental projects in the Forest of Bowland AONB

The Forest of Bowland AONB Sustainable Development Fund

The Forest of Bowland AONB Sustainable Development Fund is a grant scheme which supports projects that bring environmental, social and economic benefits to the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Forest of Bowland AONB’s Sustainable Development Fund is now CLOSED for 2015. This year we had £17,000 available to distribute as grants.

However, you can still download GUIDANCE (pdf)  for the fund and if you have a project idea please contact us for a chat, we may be able to point you in the direction of other funds available. Call Cathy Hopley at the AONB office on 01200 448000

SDF is managed by Champion Bowland and this means that grants can be offered for a full 12 months – giving you extra time to complete and report on your project. Grants are normally within the region of £500 to £5000, but we are keen to consider larger grants if they are particularly innovative or sustainable.
