Dunsop village green shelter

Mrs Amanda Parker JP, High Sheriff of Lancashire officially opened a shelter on the village green at Dunsop Bridge on Thursday 14th January 2016.

The shelter, built by Frank Ireland & Co Ltd, Waddington, is to provide a lasting reminder of HRH Queen Elizabeth II 's Diamond Jubilee in the village, on land kindly provided by the Duchy of Lancashire.

The shelter has been funded with money left over from local jubilee celebrations, the parish council and very kind donations from RVBC, LCC Parish Champion and Green Partnership, Champion Bowland and Ribble Valley Homes.

The shelter offers a quiet place to sit and admire the view, feed the ducks, eat a snack or wait for a bus!

Thanks to the parish council, Bowland Forest Higher Division, for delivering the project
